Most people look at successful photographers/studios and think it is solely because of their amazing skills and techniques. Let Me. Tell You. The TRUTH!!!!
Honest equation of being a successful photographer/studio = 20% of Photography and 80% BUSI-NESS! (get it, busy-ness/business 😉 )
I’ll tell you what…if you are an aspiring photographer, it is easy to find photography techniques on Google. You may also learn by trial-&-error & self-teaching. But one thing that most people will not teach you is how to run the photography, or in fact ANY, business!
Very very fortunately, I graduated with a business degree (majors: marketing & management – graduated with honors – on full scholarship!) So here is my humble proposal to YOU!
- Do you want to learn about photography business?
- Need help with marketing & social media?
- Wanna learn how to write emails/contracts?
- Need help selling your services?
- Want to build a brand?
- Want to be your own boss?
If you answer YES to at least 2 of the questions above, you wouldn’t want to miss this chance. I’m hosting the very first Rima Hassan Photography’s Mixer on 9th December 2017 from 3pm-5pm in Jumeirah area, Dubai, where I will be answering all of these (and some more…) questions. And YOU are cordially invited. Only a couple of seats are left & registration will close on 7 December 2017. All you need to do is fill out the form on THIS LINK.
I hope you join me to celebrate photography & talk business!
I feel so humbled when MyList.ae invited me to speak again (for the third time to be exact) at their Pre-Wedding Extravaganza event to help the future brides-to-be hosted at Bloomingdale’s, The Dubai Mall.
I was able to speak alongside some wonderful wedding vendors including We Do Weddings & Events (wedding planner), Pret A Papier Design (invitations & stationary), MyList.ae (party favors & gifts), Magnolia Bakery, The White Boutique (catering), Bloomingdale’s professional team of makeup artists & jewelry specialist, and florist. All the wedding experts gave extremely useful tips to the future brides to help them plan their fairytale wedding.
I spoke about how to prepare for the wedding, timelines, budgeting, communicating with the vendors, and setting expectations. I will blog about these in details under UnOfficial Bridesmaid category for the future brides who were not able to attend.
Thank you super much to Line & Stefanie from MyList.ae for inviting me to speak at the event & for such an educational and successful event. I hope the brides use all the ideas, tips, and tricks while planning their wedding day and it helps them achieve the day of their dreams.
P.S. The past two MyList.ae’s events that I spoke at can be found HERE & HERE.
She was on top of her game.
Everything was thoughtfully displayed and ready on time. The jewelry was carefully placed on the mannequins surrounded by flowers. Poised, composed, with an elegant style, and a heart of gold, she is everything he wished for. And much much more! ❤
Iman & Jassem’s extravagant wedding was celebrated in Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai. Essa AlHadad remarkably decorated the ballroom and kosha/stage. Iman was beautified by the super talented Layaly, wore a bridal gown from Hazar Couture, heels from Manolo Blahnik, and carried a bouquet from Fiore Designs.
Dear Iman & Jassem,
Thank you for choosing me to document your big day. It was joyous, beautiful, and super elegant just like the two of you are. May the Almighty showers you both with abundance of happiness, health, success, and love. Forever, ameen.
As I finished their portraits and packed the gear for her entrance,
I sneaked a look at them.
He stood close to her.
Holding her close, whispering in her ears.
I got busy again but with a smile on my face. I didn’t need to understand what he was saying. Because her continuous smile and occasional giggles explained it all.
Tahra & Basim’s wedding was celebrated at Al Jawaher RCC, Sharjah. The ballroom and stage/kosha decoration was done by Forever Events. The sweetheart & super talented makeup artist, Ayesha Bahraini, did a remarkable job with Tahra’s makeup. Tahra wore a stunning Hazar Couture‘s bridal gown and carried a Fiore Design‘s bouquet.
Dearest Tahra & Basim,
Not only you both are amazing human-beings but awesome friends too ❤ I feel so fortunate to meet you, witness your love and chemistry, document your wedding day, and more than anything, I’m so grateful to call you both my friends. May you both always stand by each other’s side, fall deeper in love everyday, and continue to smile and giggle together. Forever! Ameen ❤
The night was blooming like flowers do in spring.
The rain of happiness was pouring over every soul present.
Everybody looked pretty. Everybody looked cheerful. Dancing on the stage, joyously, celebrating the union of two beautiful people. Both inside out. Made for each other.
Arwa & Talal’s wedding was celebrated at The Saint Regis, Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. The stage/kosha decoration was done miraculously by Klassna Events. The hanging cake was one of the highlights. Arwa looked extremely elegant in her custom made bridal gown from Yen Design, Louboutin shoes, and dazzling diamond jewelry.
Dear Arwa & Talal,
Thank you for having me document you first day as husband & wife. A bigger thank you for making the day extremely enjoyable by showing up on time, being ready on time, for your hospitality, smiles, and being absolutely pleasure to work with. I wish you both a lifetime of health, happiness, success, and eternal love.
