My phone flashed an unknown number.
I picked up the phone and held it between my ear & shoulder as I was getting ready for a meeting.
“Hey. It’s Mohamed. Meera’s husband. Our wedding is this weekend.”
I put my blush down on the table. He got my attention because it was very rare that a groom would call me before the wedding. This wasn’t a good sign.
“Yes Mohamed – how r u – how’s Meera – is everything okay?” I asked without waiting for him to catch up with my questions.
“Yes! I’m calling you because Meera has been asking me to wear a suit for wedding photos and I have been saying no. I want to surprise her by having half of the formal photo-session in suit.”
“Oh Jeez, Mohamed. That’s so0o0o0o sweet. You got me scared. Yes!!! I would love to photograph you in a suit. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.” He hung up the phone and left me smiling.
As cute as Mohamed is for planning the surprise for her, Meera’s graceful personality was surprised but not like the typical-cover-your-mouth-like-you-just-won-the-miss-world-contest type. She is a poised, confident, and sophisticated girl who looked utterly charismatic as a bride & rocked her bridal gown made by Michael Cinco. The personalities of both Meera & Mohamed compliment each other’s perfectly. Meera is a reader, searcher, wonderer & Mohamed is the one who makes her believe in magic & fairytales.
Their wedding took place at Al Jawaher Recreation & Convention Center, Sharjah. The Dream Wedding Services turned the ballroom into a secret garden because the wedding was full of surprises. While Meera was gracing the stage with her beautiful presence, her sisters surprised her with a gorgeous cake with sparklers on top of it & the celebrations were doubled as she celebrated her birthday after 12 am.

Mohamed looked like an Arab version Adam Levine from Maroon 5 in suit.

Dearest Mohamed & Meera,
Meeting, knowing, & photographing both of you has been nothing short of a dream. From the moment we met first time, I knew we were destined to be friends. Your families made me feel like a part of the day and welcomed me with open arms which helped me document your love better. May you always love, cherish, & surprise each other – forever. Both of you have a very very veryyyyyy special place in my heart, “awanah” 🙂
Thank you for being you!
Much love,
~Rima
