I read somewhere that….

“Sure, it is safer and cheaper to stay home…….probably. But God made the whole world and you’ve only seen a little bit of it. I’ll bet there are even places in your own local area that you’ve wondered about or have meant to see but haven’t quite gotten to yet. You are not a cog in a wheel – you have a soul, and dreams, and curiosity.”

This photo was taken at a hotel in Florence. The door was hugeeeeee, heavy, and old.

My soul encouraged me to open closed doors and explore the world. My dreams seemed bigger than my wallet so I took a chance. The never-ending curiosity forced me to look past the obstacles, plan the trip, pack my bags, leave the worries behind, and Explore….

11 days, 3 countries, 5 destinations, 5 flights, 2 long train rides, countless bus and metro transfers. As tiring as it sounds, it was worth every penny and every moment.

Sitting in the room I spent most of my life in and writing this entry, I wonder if the Europe trip was real or just a dream. Visiting and photographing the places that I always saw in calendars and on Google was surreal….

I will write about the reality aka my ‘fast & furious’ life in USA next time….

Until then…..

– Ciao
